In the space planning for the owner’s home, the arrangement emphasizes neatness and unity across the various areas. The foyer serves as a separate, relaxing space where family members can unwind after school and work, providing a spot for them to drop their bags and shoes. This area also accommodates visitors, addressing the owner’s concern about a visible DB box by incorporating a stylish wall cabinet for displaying family portraits and children’s artwork. The layout cleverly divides the extended area into an open social space right in front of the foyer, leading into a spacious living room and kitchen that boasts a direct view of the picturesque backyard. The owner appreciates the ability to oversee their children throughout the open space, fostering more interaction and peace of mind.

The renovation focused on the kitchen due to budget constraints, featuring an L-shaped layout with a small island to increase prep space and allow for decorative plants. The dining table, connected to the island, uses durable Kompacplus material and serves dual purposes for dining and prep. Practical design elements include strategically placed drawers and hinged doors to optimize storage and functionality. Aesthetic enhancements, like shelves for plants and a speaker, add visual appeal. Transparent acrylic legs on the dining table provide a floating effect and integrate the kitchen with the living room view. The homeowner is very pleased with the final design, which balances functionality and beauty.

The client purchased an old house but wasn’t satisfied with the layout or space. Designer reimagined it with an open-concept design, reallocating spaces to fit the family’s lifestyle. The dining table was boldly placed at the center of the house to create a lively dining atmosphere. A cozy corner combines a lounge and shoe-changing area, allowing the homeowner to slow down, appreciate their homegrown plants, and enjoy reading. With a simple design enhanced by eye-catching colors, the space brings more vitality to everyday life, while features like a slide and hammock create a playful, child-friendly environment.

This project centered around optimizing space for a young mother with two kids, focusing on functionality, safety, and her vibrant personality. To maximize practicality, we merged the laundry and foyer areas and designed a flat, open living room for safety. A treadmill was strategically placed under the staircase, allowing her to work out while keeping an eye on her children. The master bathroom was reimagined, removing the door and expanding the shower for a more open feel. A cheerful moodboard, a bar table separating the living and dining areas, and a highlighted dining space with a feature wall and buffet table ensure the home is both stylish and family-friendly.
